Botox sounds interesting… can anyone give more info on it? Pain? Expense?…

It is proved that Botox injections in your underarm area can fight underarm sweat, depending on how your body takes to the Botox, it can last for up to 6 months or more. Although I’m not sure about laser treatments or tablets. It is good to hear you use an antiperspirant instead of a deodorant as deodorants only mask the smell. You could also spray on medical powder to slow down the bacteria.

In the meanwhile here are a few tips from a person who found out about all of this the hard way :

1. Drysol is aluminum chloride hexahydrate and when applied to the underarms acts to block the sweat glands and plug the pores. It is a prescription medication and should only be utilized with a doctor’s guidance.

2. Try wearing a plain, white, 100% cotton t-shirt under your normal shirts. This will be your first line of defense against sweat puddles forming on your outer shirt. In addition, the white t-shirts are easy to bleach/oxy-clean the stains out of.

3. Remember that if it happens to be your feet that are sweating excessively, try taking one more pair of shoes and socks with you in the morning. Change both about halfway through your day. While it won’t remove the sweating it will keep your feet dry.
